Signature North East
Signature North East are estate agents with a difference. They are a one stop shop, with specialists in law and finance on hand to help with any advice and queries. They also have a lounge in their HQ where you can pop in for a coffee or have a delicious meal. Buying a house is one of the most important investments you’ll ever make and so they aim to make the experience as enjoyable and hassle free, from start to finish. I completed a content audit on the website and rewrote landing pages, as well as creating new copy for new pages.
The Northern Wood Co
Northern Wood Co makes candles and other handmade items for the home, all with sustainable products that are also vegan and cruelty-free. I completed a full site audit, rewrote and optimised all existing pages, meta titles and descriptions and advised on and wrote some additional content. There was also some content marketing consultation to help the owners continue to create quality content.
Beeswing Lodge
Beeswing lodge is an idyllic cottage set in the heart of a dark sky area in Northumberland. I created copy for the entire website and consultation on page layout. Beeswing has such a strong sense of history and a heartwarming story behind it, as well as being lovingly renovated and situated amongst the most amazing wildlife and natural beauty. After talking with the owner, we wanted to ensure this was all conveyed within the copy so that the reader could get a real sense of the place.

Mattress Online is a leading seller of mattresses and beds in the UK. During my time at an award-winning search agency, I worked across the website to review and optimise content, including meta titles and descriptions, product descriptions, blog posts and articles in the help and advice section. I also created PR pieces which landed the client in the national press.

MoneySuperMarket is a comparison website for a range of financial products including insurance, loans, broadband, mortgages and credit cards. During my time at a leading UK search agency, I worked in a supervisory role on this account helping to meet deadlines, plan work, create ideas, proof and edit work from the team and took a leading role in client conversations and updates.

Social Media Curation
The Cookie Jar
The Cookie Jar is a unique conversion of an historic building in Alnwick and run by Debbie Cook, the wife of renowned hotelier Robert Cook, formerly chief executive of Hotel du Vin and Malmaison. The building was once the Convent Of Mercy and great care was taken to restore and design a luxury hotel with individual character, attention to detail and bags of style. Social media presence needed to convey understated elegance. I set up and ran their social media pages for several months until they were ready to take in-house, at which time I trained the marketing assistant who was to take on that role.
Tails
A unique dog grooming salon for pampered pooches, Tails opened in 2016. I set up and ran their social media across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the first 12 months of their business operating, before passing it over for them to run in-house. The focus was on showing the many cute faced clientele before and after their grooming, as well as the interior of the salon, to show the full experience for both dogs and their owners.
Colonel Porters
Colonel Porters is a Rhum bar, botanical garden and tavern set in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. With an eclectic style and tone of voice that needed to be transferred across the pages of their social media, I set up and ran their pages over Instagram and Facebook for more than a year, before their in-house marketing team were able to take over.
The Emporium includes a hidden room behind a bookcase, a unique cocktail bar and restaurant menu and a narrative that pulls from the history of the creation of the world famous Newcastle Brown Ale.
The Impeccable Pig
The Impeccable Pig is a restaurant with 10 rooms, a pub and lots of character, where you can ‘swine, dine and sleep.’ I set up and ran the social media pages across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for a few months until the establishment was ready to take over in-house. The tone of voice needed to exude luxury but with a cheeky piggy twist!
The Sticky Wicket
I set up and ran the Facebook page for this sports bar near Durham County’s cricket grounds in its initial opening months. A play on some common sporting themes and sayings as well as family friendly copy were used to help attract the right audience.
